City of Huntsville – Cummings Research Park

City of Huntsville Awards JSBC Cummings Research Park Monument Signs Project

The City of Huntsville recently awarded JSBC the Cummings Research Park Monument Sign project.  Cummings Research Park is billed as the second largest research park in the country and the fourth largest in the world.  Over 300 companies and organizations call Cummings Research Park home.  We are proud to have the opportunity to work closely with the City on this project and to lend our expertise and knowledge to further beautifying Cummings Research Park.  The engineer for the project is Live Oak Engineering and total duration is 12 months. 

New Hire – Matt Willauer

JSBC Welcomes Matt Willauer to the Team

JSBC is pleased to announce that Matt Willauer has joined the team as our newest Project Manager. Matt brings nearly 25 years of experience in the construction industry, having served in a variety of leadership roles including estimator, project manager, owner, vice president, product development manager, and CEO.

Throughout his career, Matt has demonstrated a strong ability to identify opportunities for improvement and implement effective strategies that enhance processes, reduce build times, and maintain the highest standards of quality. His depth of experience and results-driven approach make him a valuable addition to the JSBC team.

Matt holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance with a minor in Economics from Pennsylvania State University, as well as a Master of Divinity from Biblical Theological Seminary. He resides in Huntsville, Alabama.

New Hire – Janie Jackson

JSBC Welcomes Janie Jackson to the Team

Janie Jackson

Janie graduated from the University of Alabama in 2016 with a Bachelor of Arts in Business. She went on to compete professionally on the LPGA Tour for nearly seven years, an experience that allowed her to travel extensively and compete at the highest level of the sport.

Following her professional golf career, Janie returned home to Huntsville and transitioned into the commercial construction industry. In 2025, she was recognized as one of the Alabama Associated General Contractors’ Top 40 Under 40 in Construction, highlighting her leadership and impact within the industry.

A Huntsville native with strong local family ties, Janie is passionate about her community and values the opportunity to contribute to the city’s continued growth. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family and her two dogs, Atlas and Harvey. An outdoor enthusiast, Janie enjoys skiing, hunting, fly fishing, time on the lake, and trips to the mountains.

We are proud to have Janie’s talent, drive, and dedication as part of the JSBC team.

B&G Club Press Release

Frank J. Williams Boys & Girls Club Celebrates Grand Opening

JSBC was chosen as the general contractor for the recently-opened Frank J. Williams Boys and Girls Club, located at 3911 Pulaski Pike.  Grand Opening for the facility was held on December 9, 2025, with the club opening to serve area children on January 5, 2026.  The state-of-the-art, 50,000 square foot facility will serve over a thousand children annually; has a STEM lab; and will offer a robotics team, tutoring, mentoring, and leadership programs among other programs and opportunities for youth development.  In addition to the club, the facility contains a gym, an auditorium, and a teen center.
