JS Building Co. completed its third major area of renovation for Magnolia Trace – ACTS Retirement-Life Communities in Huntsville. By working closely as a team with owner and architects, JS Building Co. modernized the facility’s Dining and Commons areas, lobby, Bistro, Reception, and Residents’ Lounge.

Extensive pre-planning and working in phases to expedite turnover ensured a quality outcome for all of the projects that came in both ahead of schedule and within budget.

Workers began by deconstructing down to original studs, concrete, and metal decking. A priority was the maintenance of stringent dust control measures for the comfort and safety of Magnolia Trace residents. Another prerequisite was providing 24-hour accessibility in and around the workspaces.

Highlights of the finished spaces included a state of the art food service line, fireplaces, a coffee bar with mosaic tile, a hearing aid wireless sound loop system, installation of two flat-screen televisions, a surround sound speaker system, and a microphone. Aesthetics were greatly improved by new luxury vinyl tile flooring, specialty carpeting, textured vinyl wallcoverings, antique glass, ornate fixtures, detailed custom trim, and quartz and stone countertops throughout.
