JS Building Co. worked with both private owners and the City of Huntsville to bring Clinton Row Retail into being, part of the push to provide new shopping experiences to downtown visitors and residents before the traditional holiday shopping of October 15^th.

By transforming existing parking spaces in a 40-year-old city garage, downtown Huntsville now boasts 7,500 square feet of new retail space on its first floor, a custom perforated aluminum panel exterior attached to new steel outriggers, and new decorative lighting and signage.

Demolition of existing pavement was followed by new concrete foundations, thickened slab, and load-bearing CMU walls. JS Building Co. installed front metal stud and tenant separation walls, storefront glass, and garage doors along Clinton Avenue. Other elements of the makeover included various façade finishes of tile planks, stained rough sawn wood, painted brick, metal siding, and restaurants for each suite.

JS Building Co. competitively bid all trades on the project and provided the owners with budget updates and cost comparisons throughout pre-construction.
