The new facility for Blue Pants Brewery, the first craft brewery of its kind in the city of Madison, was completed in a portion of the old Planters Warehouse on Lanier Road. JS Building Co. worked closely with the owner to develop a layout that would accommodate an 8,800 square foot brewing area with an adjacent 1,200 square foot space for a taproom.

The construction schedule was managed to facilitate the delivery and installation of the owner’s brewing equipment. Direct coordination with the owner was also necessary to develop mechanical and electrical systems that would operate in conjunction with the owner’s equipment.

One interesting twist was the owner furnished brewing equipment that came with utility connection instructions in a foreign language using unconventional hertz and voltages!
